Held June 22-25, 2026, at Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill in Hamilton Ohio, The Project and PERFECT camp aimed to bring about 75 players in each of the classes of 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030 to the event. On June 22-23 the classes of 2027 and 2028 participated in drill work, 3x3 and 5x5 ball combining instruction and play. There were three sessions (two on the first day) for each class, alternating court time. Similarly, the classes of 2029 and 2030 were in action on June 24 and 25. Monday and Wednesday were long days wrapping up after 8pm. Tuesday and Thursday were significantly shorter, ending about 1pm. Given that players came from all over the USA, this allowed most to catch flights home later that day.
Preparation. Expectation. TEAM. Execution.
Comments by parents and players were very positive and similar to last year.
In an era where finding fault is the norm, parents and players were exceptionally positive in camp reviews. Repeatedly it was mentioned as one of the best camps the player in question had ever attended. Specific items mentioned included the enthusiasm/knowledge of staff, incorporation of both 5x5 and 3x3 play (guess some camps do not engage much or at all in 3x3) and the high level of competition where most of the players were likely future college players who will receive athletic scholarships. Another item mentioned was the high level of organization with the camp moving along at a brisk pace allowing for well-timed water/rest breaks
On to players…
Per graduation class, players are in alphabetical order with listed height, position, high school (last or if known, soon to be attending) and state location of school (in parenthesis).
Note that players described below as “improved” were ones this writer had seen previously some time ago. Also, in each session, other players could have been mentioned but these were ones who in some way jumped out at me if only in brief moments.
2027 Session - had its share of major D1 players but less depth than lower classes as a lot of rising seniors have already narrowed their list and (perhaps mistakenly) are not so camp oriented as their younger counterparts. All 2027’s mentioned are some level of Division 1 prospect with the more likely Power 4’s noted. I was particularly disappointed in the large number of paid no-shows in this class.
