Sunshine State Showdown 2026
Liv Johnson (#40) and Ashlee Wilson of All Iowa Attack 10th EYBL.
All Iowa Attack Shines Under the Florida sun!
April 8, 2026
In its 11th year, the Sunshine State Showdown was again held at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel, Florida, during the first weekend in April (3-5, 2026). Presented by the SUTS Report and Roundball Academy, the event is powered by NIKE clubs Essence and Miami Suns. A total of 157 teams participated in seven divisions ranging from 11U to 17U playing a maximum of five games over the weekend. Teams from the various club circuits (NIKE EYBL, NIKE EYCL, Adidas 3SSB, Under Armour GUAA, New Balance P32, Puma NXTPRO and the strong independent Power 24) participated.
All Iowa Attack dominates!
In Sunshine State Showdown 2025, All Iowa Attack (AIA) brought three teams (15s, 16, 17s) and went 15-0. This year they brought five teams (adding in their top 14s and 13s) and went 24-1 with the 17U team losing its last game to Essence Purple. All the above AIA teams are loaded with D1 talent and play a free flowing/eye-pleasing form of basketball, blending team with talent. Look for strong results yet again this year in NIKE EYBL’s various divisions!
Rosters please!
The most disappointing thing about the non-viewing period club events is the lack of too many rosters available to media (here about 25 present) and the few college coaches (about 10 with a couple of each from NCAA D2, D3, NAIA and junior colleges). This is done due to a combination of laziness, uniforms not ready, other more pressing pre-event issues and perhaps most of all, so as not to let opposition teams steal their players. It would be nice if all clubs followed All Iowa Attack with a basic sheet of names, graduation years and schools. Media can add in heights and uniform numbers and do not need player contact information. Having just basic roster information makes player evaluations so much easier as you know what grade of players you are looking at without fumbling around begging already busy team coaches for information.
The players below impressed during the event. All should be monitored at the NCAA Division 1 level but not necessarily at the Power 4 level. Listing is alphabetical within class with listed height, position, club team with school information posted as available in parenthesis.
2027
Jalynn Belton (#1) and Jada Clardy of Miami Suns Team Fowles 17U EYBL.
Jalynn Belton, 5-9, guard, Miami Suns Team Fowles 17U EYBL (Miami Country Day School [FL])
Belton has been known as a skilled player for several years. She appears to be better conditioned than at this time last year. Considered one of the top prospects in Florida’s state series schools for 2027, she has Power 4 interest.
Devin Furgess, 5-1, point guard, Legacy 17U E32 New Balance (New Manchester High School, [GA])
Yes, 5-1 (on a good day anyway)! Furgess is very small with good quickness and three-level scoring ability. She has zero offers at any level as coaches feel she is just too small to see over opposing guards. She was, however, not too small to score over 20 points versus a team of future Power 4 and high mid-majors of All Iowa Attack. She is one of the best tiny tiny’s I have seen (see very few this small at 17U level so my pool is not that deep). Not saying she is close to a Power 4 prospect, but she deserves to be on scholarship at least at the NCAA Division 2 level!
Milan Johnson, 5-10, small forward, Team Elite Hubbard 17U 3SSB (Greater Atlanta Christian [GA])
Johnson is a strong driver and active on defense. She needs to improve her shooting range to attract interest above the mid-major level.
2028
Jada Clardy, 5-10, guard, Miami Suns Team Fowles 17U EYBL (Pensacola Washington High School [FL])
Clardy is above average athletically with ability to hit the jumper at midrange. Considered one of the top 2028 prospects in Florida’s state series, she helped her team win a Florida state title.
Ke’Mora Evans 5-8, guard, Miami Suns Team Larkins 16U EYBL (Nova High School [FL])
Above average athletically, Evans plays hard and can attack the rim successfully. She needs to add shooting range to attract interest above the mid-major level.
Chloe Johnson, 6-0, guard, All Iowa Attack 11th EYBL (Duluth Marshall [MN])
Known nationally as one of the top players for 2028, Johnson most impressed at the event with her steady demeanor regardless of the situation along with an amazing use of angles to score at midrange or get to the rim.
Kinsley Ketterhagen, 6-0, guard, All Iowa Attack 11th EYBL (Oostburg High School [WI])
Ketterhagen is considered one of the very best 2028’s in Wisconsin having helped her high school team to an undefeated season with national ranking in one or more final polls. She moves well and can score at all three levels plus reads passing lanes quite well on defense. Already with Power 4 offers, look for this name on national lists by this fall!
Alana Pinnock, 5-11, guard, Essence Purple 17U EYBL (Somerset Academy Canyons [FL])
Pinnock is another of Florida’s top players in 2028. She can attack the basket with force. She also led her team to one of Florida’s class titles.
Kendall Proffitt, 6-0, guard, Duval Elite 16U Power 24 (St. John’s Country Day [FL])
Profitt is known to think she is in range when she enters the gym. At times, she still settles for the early three too quickly in a possession. The biggest positive shown at the event is that she is now showing some willingness to attack the rim. Her offers are from the Power 4 level and down as a taller wing shooter.
Arianna Robinson, 5-4, point guard, Essence Silver 16U EYBL (Miami Country Day School [FL])
Robinson is small but strongly built with good handles. She can hit the three and attack the rim. With height an issue, she is likely getting looks from mid-majors and down.
2029
Leila Bryant, 5-8, guard, Essence Purple 17U EYBL (Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy [FL])
Bryant is one of the top prospects in Florida state series 2029 class and should be getting Power 4 looks. Strong in build, she is not afraid to attack the rim.
Peyton Frazier, 6-2, forward, Team Elite Hubbard 15U National 3SSB (Greater Atlanta Christian [GA])
One of Georgia’s top 2029 prospects, Frazier is getting physically stronger, adding more range and becoming more confident handling the ball.
Liv Johnson, 5-11, guard, All Iowa Attack 10th EYBL (Carmel Catholic [IL])
One of Illinois’s top 2029 prospects, she has a lot of versatility to her offensive package with quality passing from the wing a real plus.
Eyani Mills, 6-0, forward, All Iowa Attack 11th EYBL (Liberty North High School [MO])
One of Missouri’s top prospects in the 2029 class, strongly-built Mills can hit the three and help on the boards at both ends.
Emily Tanny, 5-11, guard, All Iowa Attack 9th EYBL (Wahlert Catholic High School [IA])
Already considered one of Iowa’s top 2029 guards. Tanny can shoot the three. Her movement without the ball and court vision are also impressive.
2030
Jordyn Avila of AEBL 15U EYBL.
Jordyn Avila, 5-9, point guard, AEBL 15U EYBL (Hebron Christian Middle School [GA])
Avila can run the offense and attack the rim. Her outside shot needs to be respected. She already is garnering notice as one of Georgia’s better guards in this class.
Princess Ekezie, 6-1, center, Essence Silver 16U EYBL (Southeastern Prep [FL])
Ekezie has good hands and mobility in the key for a strongly built post. She is already showing some range beyond the lower key. She needs to watch her conditioning. Her progress should be monitored from the Power 4 level down.
Lauren Harkins, 5-11, guard, All Iowa Attack 8th EYBL (Waukee High School [IA])
Harkins is still developing physically as not filled out but is already willing to take contact in attacking the rim. She also showed three-point range. Maturation should be monitored from the Power 4 level and down.
Harlow Heath, 5-10, guard, All Iowa Attack 8th EYBL (Ankeny Centennial [IA])
Heath is another talented guard not fully developed physically. Skills of driving and shooting the three make her another player to be monitored from the Power 4 level and down.
Bailey Joens, 5-9, guard, All Iowa Attack 9th EYBL (Iowa City High School [IA])
I am told Joens is the last of a group of sisters who played Division 1 basketball. Adequately mobile, her ability to knock down threes should make her the next in her family to play in D1.
Ashlee Wilson, 6-0, guard, All Iowa Attack 10th EYBL (Hill-Murray School [MN])
Wilson was the most impressive of all the 2029 and 2030 players present. She is mobile and can score at all levels not looking out of place even on the talented All Iowa Attack 17U team. Look for this name high on national lists if continuing to progress and stay healthy.
2031
Jayda Nobles, 5-10, point guard, All Iowa Attack 9th EYBL (Benilde-St. Margaret’s School [MN])
In looking at this impressive 9th grade team, not surprisingly the offense was well run. Where the surprise came is that it was being run by a player two grades younger. This alone makes Nobles a player to monitor from the Power 4 level and down.
