What you need to know before the event:
The Cali Classic hosted by the Cal Sparks will have some big names in attendance this weekend. #2 All Iowa Attack EYBL will have quite the test taking on four of the California based EYBL programs including #12 Cal Sparks EYBL and #22 Team Taurasi EYBL. This will be a great early season test to see who the team to beat out west will be.

#GrassrootsPower25 17U in attendance:
AIA had a great run at Nike Nationals in 2023, finishing in 2nd place in the Nike EYBL. This team has reloaded in the off season, adding three top-25 players in the country who make All Iowa Attack the most talented team on the Nike Circuit. This will be a very well coached group and no one would be surprised to see All Iowa raising the championship banner come July.

The reigning EYBL champs will be right in the thick of it again this year. Returning stars ‘25 Grace Knox and ‘25 Aliyahna “Puff” Morris anchor this squad that will have one of the more talented roster in the country. Look for Knox’s recruiting to skyrocket now that she is fully healthy and ready. As always, the Sparks have prospects in every class and it looks like ‘26 Arynn Finley is another one to watch after a breakout year at Etiwanda in California.

Backed by basketball legend Diana Taurasi, this California based EYBL program is annually one of the better 17U teams in the nation. They bring in a loaded roster that should make some real noise this season on the EYBL circuit. This team is led by the top prospect in the 2027 class, Kaleena “Special K” Smith, an electrifying guard that is a true matchup nightmare for every team in the country.
